Homepage Manager:
OrgCentral’s Virtual Webmaster functionality allows your homepage to be completely dynamic with little or no human intervention.
- Set it and forget it: The home page automatically features the latest news stories, displays upcoming events (and deactivates them when they are over), rotates featured content automatically and much more.
Pages + Navigation Manager:
The system allows administrators to control the content on every page and section of the site. Entire new sections and subsections can be added with the click of a button.
- Multiple layout templates are available to help keep each page fresh.
- SEO-friendly fields are provided to help you make each page irresistible to the search engines.
- The system allows pages and sections to be designated public (all access) or members only (visible only after sign-in).
- All date-sensitive content is deactivated automatically once its date has passed. Deactivated items stay in the system and may be easily edited and re-activated later.
- A built-in WYSIWYG tool with pre-coded style sheets provides non-technical users with a means to style site content without breaking the organization’s branding guidelines.
Member Management:
This section allows for the management of members via a centralized database.
- The system tracks both member and company profiles independently.
- Unlimited member ‘type’ and demographic classifications are permitted.
- New classifications can be added on-the-fly.
- “Special” member classifications such as “member at large” are supported.
- Automated password reminder function.
Prospect Management:
The system includes a mini CRM (Customer Relationship Management) component to allow the tracking of new member prospects from first contact to close.
- Once a prospect joins, you can upgrade them to full member status (with all associated privileges) with one click.
The MY Organization Dashboard:
Every registered user has access to the MY Organization Dashboard. This powerful suite of features allows registered users to really engage with the “community” of your organization by empowering them to do everything from update their profiles to self-publish news about themselves, post blog entries, contribute to the resources section, set their system preferences, change their passwords and more.
Committee Management:
Most Organizations rely on committees to complete key initiatives. Before OrgCentral, committee communication and task tracking was an unsightly scramble of emails and files. With OrgCentral, unlimited sub-groups can be created.
- Each committee has access to its own ListServe function and a shared workspace for managing and tracking projects, tasks and documents.
- Assign members to one or more committees with a click.
- Use the system’s integrated email module to easily communicate with established groups on- the-fly.
Event Marketing/Event Management:
A robust event planning and management system is integrated into OrgCentral. You can add events, categorize them by type, and decide to include an RSVP mechanism (or not) on a per-event basis.
- Manage every aspect of organizing an event from marketing to food and beverage to budgets right inside the system’s designated event team workspaces. All event details are retained post-event for the reference of future organizers.
- Online calendar with ‘at a glance’ and detailed listing views for each event.
- Members can RSVP online with one click.
- Events will deactivate and leave the site automatically once the date has passed.
- Generate a quick, branded reminder to any RSVP type about any event (YES/NO/MAYBE/NOT REPLIED) at any time right from OrgCentral’s integrated email blast tool.
- Add unlimited custom questions to an event’s RSVP panel (meal choice, etc.).
- Set your guest policy upfront and allow guests to register online.
- Events can be free or fee-based (an optional online payment system is available to process credit card payments as people register for events right on the site.)
- You decide whether or not to display attendees.
- Final attendance lists can be exported for printing or made accessible online to partners such as venues, catering companies, or more importantly to sponsors.
- Attendance records are kept on all members and all events.
Poll and Survey Builder:
Need to poll your members on an important issue? Running a board election? Want to do a satisfaction survey to follow up on an event? It’s all built right into OrgCentral.
- Create questions, choose from multiple answer types (pull down, check boxes, text) for each, and publish the poll instantly.
- Track results on the back end.
- Send a survey to the group via email or make it part of your home page.
- System retains all former polls so they can be easily repurposed later.
Press Room:
- All registered users as well as system administrators, can self publish news articles to the site.
- Articles can have photos, attachments or external links associated with them.
- The author can decide whether to make stories available publicly or only to logged-in members.
- To generate PR for the organization, press/media access to this section can be granted via a special password. Automated connections to third party press services such as PR Web can also be provided.
Galleries:
A picture is worth a thousand words (and let’s face it, most people just love looking at themselves). OrgCentral is happy to comply with a full-featured gallery system.
- Build unlimited photo galleries with unlimited albums in each gallery.
- Categorize galleries as you see fit.
- A drag-and-drop upload tool allows for simple batch uploads without the need for ftp or additional software.
- On-the-fly thumbnail creation.
- Once photos are uploaded, they can be renamed in batches and reordered.
- Registered site visitors can add comments to any photo.
- Prints can be ordered directly from the site using Shutterfly—all with one click.
Resources:
Think Craig’s List meets a knowledge base and you’ve got an idea of how OrgCentral’s resource section works. Imagine the power if all the great minds in your organization had one place to gather and trade experiences and new ideas. Thanks to OrgCentral they do.
- Unlimited, fully customizable resource categories.
- Content is self-publishable by all registered users.
- All posts are time, date and author stamped.
- Postings can include graphics and external links.
Experts' Corner:
This section is essentially a blog that allows registered users and administrators to contribute articles, white papers, etc., to the website. The system even allows guest authors (like event speakers) to contribute an article. It’s a great way for members to share their knowledge with each other and boost awareness of your organization to non-members and the community.
- To generate PR, press access to this section can be provided via a special password.
Ad Management:
An optional Ad management system allows you to sell advertiser/sponsorship spots in various areas of the website.
- Built-in tracking of impressions and clicks is included.
- Can accommodate text, gifs, jpgs or rich media ads.
- All ad slots are based on current IAB standards.
Payment Module:
This optional module allows a variety of automated payment scenarios:
- System administrators can create invoices to members that will appear in that member’s billing area. Invoices can then be paid online via credit card or PayPal.
- Online payments can be accepted and processed for events as people register. Email receipts and confirmation notes are sent automatically.
Sponsors:
Sponsors are the lifeblood of many organizations. OrgCentral gives you multiple ways to give sponsors the recognition and exposure they deserve.
- The sponsor management module allows sponsor logos and messaging to be featured on the homepage and other sections of the site.
- Each sponsor receives its own profile page. Sponsors have CMS access to their profile pages and can control the content that appears there. This is a great venue for them to share timely information or publicize special offers to the organization.
Quotes:
The thought of the day. You pick the topics, the authors and the tone. OrgCentral puts them up on your homepage automatically.
ListServe:
Yahoo Groups? We don’t need no stinking Yahoo Groups! OrgCentral has a built-in ListServe mechanism that allows your organization to enjoy a vibrant, secure, email-driven “members only” communication channel. Since it’s fully integrated with your member database, as soon as a member joins (or leaves) the group, their ListServe privileges will be activated (or suspended) automatically. Via the admin control panel, system administrators can even control the footer message that appears automatically on all sent messages.
Mail Blaster:
Built right into the system, and tapping your member/constituent list in real time, this unique tool allows you to send a branded email (text or html) to anyone and from anyone in the organization.
- Send emails to subgroups within the organization with one click.
- Send reminder emails to people who RSVP’d (or forgot to RSVP) to an event without having to even pull a list.
- Seamless opt-out handling.
- All messages are retained in the system for later reference/re-use.
- Flexible footer text area allows you to promote other things on each email sent.

Site Tracking and SEO:
- Adding search engine friendly elements to each page of the site (including page titles, page descriptions and keywords) is simple via the admin tools section.
- A fully integrated Google Analytics dashboard shows you who’s using your site, when, and for what. Other valuable information such as referrers and average time of visit are also included in the stats.
- Google AdWords campaigns can easily be integrated to drive more site traffic if that is your goal.
- Registered user tracking takes things even deeper, by tracking event attendance, last part of the site visited, and how much (or how little) each member use features such as the member blog area.
Social Bookmarking:
Social networking is emerging as a powerful force and as such, we see it as an important. part of this project. At your discretion, key site content will be available as RSS feeds. Additional social bookmarking functionality such as DIGG, del.icio.us, etc will also be available where appropriate. Tell a friend/tell a colleague functionality will also be included on select sections/pages via a customized ShareThis button.
Beyond the functionality described above, we would also be happy to speak about developing an appropriate strategy for leveraging other social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter.
